One of the best-known bass players in Latvia. Thanks to his profes- sionalism and flexibility, he easily adapts to and fits into different music band projects.

Pēteris has received a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy. He has developed his musical skills by playing in the Riga Circus Orchestra, Jelgava Big Band, Jam orchestra, Synkope etc.

Pēteris has participated in many musical projects together with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, has performed in accompanying groups for Latvian theatres and several television shows in Latvia and Lithuania. He has performed together with the best pop&rock bands and pop music stars from Latvia. Although he is familiar with many musical genres and jazz has really captured his heart. In his work Pēteris Liepiņš is influenced by several world-famous bass players: Tom Kennedy, John Patitucci, Jaco Pastorius, Rocco Prestia, Richard Bona etc.

Currently, the popular musician, works as a bass teacher in several schools – Jāzeps Mediņš Music High School, Riga 45th High School and Jelgava Music High School.

Has participated in many studio recordings, concerts, festivals and performed with various music groups in many countries in Europe and other parts of the world.  Pēteris is considered one of the most professional bass players in Latvia.
