Novas Trio is an unusual jazz band, whose interesting and surprising sound is created by Carlos Vera L. on the vibraphone, Jeff Miles on the guitar and Rodrigo Recabarren on the drums. As you have already noticed – the group does not include bass, which is a purposeful decision to find out what jazz music can be by combining such instruments together. The group’s debut album “Borderfall” was recognized by CriticalJazz.com as one of the best jazz albums of 2012.
Each of the musicians in the group has a strong individuality, the combination of which gives listeners the opportunity to hear what has not been heard in jazz.
