I have been playing drums for decade now. I started learning percussion in elementary school, in third grade. After graduating from elementary school, I decided to persue my career as a drummer at Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music Secondary School, and now, in my fourth year of studies, I have gained knowledge and met many inspiring musicians, as well as explored a wide range of musical styles.

The music that currently inspires me the most includes the genres “Jazz Fusion,” “Jazz Rock,” and “Progressive Rock,” while also studying jazz music and its related subgenres and characteristics.

My biggest inspiration in drum set playing is musician and drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and his contribution to jazz and other styles of music, as well as many other amazing players such as Gergő Borlai, Eloy Casagrande, Matt Garstka, and others.

My main focus is to make music sound better through my playing, striving to adapt to the music and breathe along with it. I aim to make my improvisation fluid, engaging, contrasting, and unpredictable, so that the listener can enjoy every musical moment on stage.

Currently, I am actively performing and gradually building my name within the musician community in Latvia and beyond.
