Hello, my name is Aron Talu and I'm 20 years old. I'm from Estonia and have been playing drums for 10 years now. I started getting drum lessons at Kohila Tohisoo Koolituskeskus. I was there for 4 years. After that I wanted to go to Otsakool in Tallinn so I got lessons from Kristjan Mängel and Borka Hess for 3 months. Toomas Rull was my teacher in Otsakool (now MUBA) for 4 years. In that time frame I played with many new people and practiced a lot. Currently I play with Loconutsband, RUTE, Zava, piipjatuut. I have played with Sofia Rubina, Jason Hunter, Andreas Poom, Tuuli Rand. As a musician, my favourite drummer is Larnell Lewis. I listen to Dave Weckl, Bill Stewart, Benny Greb, Lee Pearson. I had the honor to meet Lee Pearson and watch him play live.

My main genres are jazz, latin, funk and pop. I really like to play jazz and funk, for example: Album by Roy Hargrove called Nothing Serious, Kenny Garrett Standard of Language, Nate Smith, Benny Greb, In the Moment- album by Larnell Lewis. Now that I've graduated from MUBA, I will be going to EMTA and thinking about going to Sibelius Academy in Finland Helsinki with the Erasmus project. My goal is to play with lots of different people and practice way more. I want to get the whole understanding of jazz music.
