Miki Birta is a 47 year old Hungarian jazz guitar performer who also works as a teacher in Kodolányi János University College in Hungary.
In the year 1996 he graduated Liszt Ferenc Music Academy in Budapest with the Bachelor’s Degree and shortly after graduation was invited to work and teach in the U.S.
In 2007 Miki started his work in Liszt Ferenc Music Academy where he conducted jazz guitar, combo classes and also lectured on music theory. In 2016 he gets his Master’s Degree in music.
The year 2012 was very important in his career because of publishing his two class e-book of a music theory and improvisation and his special tuning of a guitar chords, wich is the first this kind of a book ever made.
His discography consists from three albums with his own original compositions.

Krzysztof Zawadzki. Born on 6th January 1959 in Warsaw, he began his musical education on the First Degree School of Music with accordion as a leading instrument. In the age of 16 he has changed his disliked instrument for drums and began Second Degree of musical education. In 1980 he graduated from Music School with a distinction and 2 years later he started education at Music Academy in Katowice at Jazz department.
When he was 17 he started his professional career by the proposition of playing with Krzysztof Sadowski jazz organist, and with the master of the saxophone Tomasz Szukalski. After three years of that cooperation, Krzysztof Zawadzki started playing with Janusz Muniak Quartet and performed in Poland & Europe. After 3 years Zawadzki left Janusz Muniak’s band and in the same year he created his own band called Walk Away.
After 2 months of rehearsals Walk Away performed on festival Jazz nad Odra winning the Grand Prix. That was the moment when Krzysztof Zawadzki’s band started to succeed.
Since 1995 Krzysztof Zawadzki has been cooperating with outstanding musicians from USA such as:

Even though Krzysztof Zawadzki is a leader of his own band, he does not avoid contacts with other bands and often participates as a sideman in studio recordings. As the leader of WALK AWAY and a session player he has recorded over 80 records.
Tomasz Grabowy has been strictly among the best Polish bass player since 1995. However, his musical knowledge and performance skills was not achieved in a regular process of education. Hard and long practise hours and confrontation with the Polish music community has been his life university. During many tours all around the U.S., as a member of Walk Away Band, Tomasz Grabowy had invaluable opportunity to learn from the best of American jazz musicians.
All of this created unusual and solid foundation for his ability to teach young musician. Since 1995 Tomasz Grabowy has been conducting workshops in famous festival called “Blues nad Bobrem” (Blues on the Odra River) and in the year 2008 he started to work as a teacher in Wroclaw Scool of Jazz and Pop Music (Wroclawska Szkola Jazzu i Muzyki Rozrywkowej). He is known as the teacher who is able to comunicate very well with inexperienced and young musicians. Tomasz participated in numerous music workshops all over the Poland since the year 2000. And in the year 2009, he published his first instruction book -“Moja basowka – Pierwsze Kroki” (My Bass Guitar – First Steps). Now he is preparing a new edition of the book titled – “Szkola Improwizacji w Pochodach Basowych” (School of improvisation in Bass Lines).

One of the most outstanding polish jazz singers. Super improviser, Ellington’s standards and music ballads “first lady”, who grants tone and climate into everything she does.
She began her music education by playing piano, however always dreaming of vocalist’s career. During years in high school she became interested at jazz and through next years she perfected her vocal abilities on Music Academy in Katowice. She finished Jazz and Entertaining Music department.
She took her jazz style from Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Yaughan, Betty Carter and Dee Dee Bridgewater. During her studies she won many prizes on jazz festivals:
Old Jazz Meeting , International Meetings of Jazz Vocalists.
She gives concerts – Jazz Festival in Bratyslava, Jazz Jamboree, Sopot Jazz Festival, Old Jazz Meeting. She records a lot for Polish Radio and Polish TV and takes part in famous musical „Cats”- Grizabella in Warsaw Musical Theater.
During Ellington’s 100 birthday celebrations she recorded, with help of fabulous musicians, her own author’s record “Iza sings Duke”, all the compositions arranged Jarek Małys.
In next two years she produced her record “Songs for Armstrong”. This record was nominated for numerous prizes with “Fryderyk ” in it.
She has been a teacher in High School of Music , department of jazz in Warsaw and also was leading a very many jazz workshops for jazz vocalists.
Bernard Maseli is amazingly creative personality. He is a musician, teacher, composer and producer.
Undoubtedly his biggest academic experience has been gained at the department of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Katowice Academy of Music, where since 1989 he continuously has been running classes of percussion (specialty-vibraphone) and the subject of instrumental ensembles as a titular professor.
Bernard Maseli started his professional musician career back in 1985 during the “Jazz nad Odra” festival where playing with „Walk Away” he won his first solo award while the band was awarded the first prize in its category. He recorded ten albums with „Walk Away” and took a part in all the greatest jazz festivals in his native Poland and abroad, including four appearances at the „Jazz Jamboree” in Warsaw, „Jak-Jazz” in Indonesia, massive tours with Urszula Dudziak and a tour supporting the legendary trumpet player – Miles Davies.
Back in 1999, together with saxophonist Jerzy Glowczewski and vocalist Kuba Badach, Bernard created his first own project called “The Globtrotters”. In a short period of time the band gained big popularity and a steady fan base, which resulted in the recording of four successful albums and almost 500 live show so far as well as a cooperation with a star among drummers – Nippy Noya (Indonesia).
In 2001 as one of the sparse Polish jazz musicians he got invited to cooperate with an american quartet headed by the famous guitar player Dean Brown (Dean Brown, Marvin „Smitty” Smith, Hadrien Feraud, Bernard Maseli) and participated in their concert tour round Europe and Japan where they received an enthusiastic welcome.
Among others the band performed at the legendary “Cotton Club”. Together with Dean Brown he also recorded the “Unfinished Business” album. In 2012 Bernard established his next formation – “MaBaSo Trio”.
Over the years Bernard Maseli have created numerous compositions and arrangements (including radio productions) and has recorded over seventy albums to date.
Adam Wendt graduated prestigious Academy of Music in Katowice (Poland) Jazz Department. During his studies he was an active member of many dance as well as jazz bands, including Young Power and Alex Band.
With Walk Away Adam has performed at clubs and festivals all over the Europe including Leverkusener Jazz Days (Germany) and the Jazz and Blues All Star Festival in Stockholm (Sweden), the Montmart Jazz Club in Copenhagen (Denmark) and the Jak-Jazz Festival in Jakarta (Indonesia). They also did a tour in Germany and with Walk Away performed in opening act of Miles Davis concert.
Not only as a saxophone player but also as a composer and arranger Adam Wendt has taken a part in recording more than 80 CD’s (7 with own projects). He has been often invited to participate in various radio and television broadcasts as well as music festivals. As a soloist and session musician, he has cooperated with the top jazz and pop stars in Poland.
During his career Adam has recorded and performed with well known jazz and blues musicians such as Eric Marienthal, Bill Evans, Nippy Noya, Keith Dunn, Urszula Dudziak, Michal Urbaniak, “Guitar Crusher” Shelby and David (Fuze) Fiuczynski, Randy Brecker, Dean Brown and great candombe player from Uruguay – Louis di Matteo.
Besides Adams active work in Walk Away he had also created a lot of his own projects like Adam Wendt and Friends, Triologue, Adam Wendt Power Set ( with special guest Christoph Titz and Samuel Torres) and Acoustic Set with Spanish singer Laura Cubi.
Along with his music career Wendt also is a lecturer in Academy of Music in Gdańsk, he teaches saxophone at the State Secondary School of Music in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz and have found the time to engage in educational activities within the framework of the Small Jazz Academy (Gorzow Wielkopolski. Tczew, Zakopane) and the Jazz Music workshop.
