Johary has born in Madagascar and been raised since early childhood with Madagascar music.
Started guitar at the age of 8 with his father, he quickly learns various music styles.
He also took classes with famous local musicians, with an amazing rhythm sense.
He’s graduated from Conservatoire de Bordeaux and now teaches at CFPM, professional music academy in Bordeaux.
He plays in many jazz and rock bands like “Atrisma” and “Shob”, having travelled together in tours to places such as (China, Germany, Réunion, Latvia, Spain and many more)
Simon Renault plays drums since he’s 13 years old. He first played in Rock and Metal bands (Warattah, Thousand Ravens), opening acts for great bands like Gojira.
He is also influenced by Funk, Soul, Afrobeat and Jazz and plays now with “Shob” and “Evidence”, jazz fusion crew from Bordeaux (France).
With more than 500 shows, he has played with various famous artists such as Patrick Rondat, TM Stevens, Micheal Jones, Yarol Poupaud ..
He teaches music at the CIAM (Bordeaux) and give drum & bass master classes all over France with SHOB.
GEOFFREY « SHOB » NEAU
Shob is a bass player and composer who has released three Jazz Fusion albums on its own name.
Shob’s music is described as intense progressive rock/funk, played live by amazing musicians, and has been compared to Snarky Puppy, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Oz Noy and Larry Graham. He has played more than 1000 shows over the past 6 years, and his solo project allowed him to open for great Jazz artists such as Cory Henry, Scott Henderson, Dennis Chambers, Jeff Berlin, Oz Noy, and Gary Novak. He played in some of the greatest places such as: Natt Jazz (Norway), Ronnie Scott (London), Saulkrasti Jazz Festival (Latvia), Hell Fest open air (Mainstage France), Graspop Festival (Bel), Wacken Festival (Ger), Ziget Festival (Hung), Madrid Electric Music Festival, Elysée Montmartre (Paris), ST Emilion Jazz festival, Moscow, Rio, Sao Polo, Santiago Chile, Barcelone, St Barth, and Europe.
One thing defines Shob’s shows: GROOVE. And also technical virtuosity lovers won’t be disappointed.
Bastien Picot is a polymorphic singer-songwriter from La Reunion. He lives between his bewitching island and Paris, the frenetic city of light, and collaborates with many national and international artists around the globe.
Backing singer for Stevie Wonder, Fred Wesley, Charles Aznavour or even Yael Naïm with his polyphonic project 3somesisters, he has recently recorded as lead singer on a jazz album directed by Richard Bona, with André Ceccarelli, Sylvain Luc and Hadrien Feraud.
Bastien is also lead singer (and lyricist) on Hadrien Feraud’s next album, with musicians such as Oz Noy, Chris Coleman and Eddie Brown. He recently sang live with Dennis Chambers, Dean Brown and Hadrien Feraud and was also invited by the Geneva Camerata Orchestra in Switzerland.
Bastien Picot’s unique and soulful voice, transcended by his dazzling presence on stage, was acclaimed at the Sakifo and MaMa Festival this year.
His first solo album “Chimera”, under the name AURUS will be released in 2020. At the intersection of English and Creole, his multi-ethnic roots conveyed by Maloya’s traditional instruments meet a modern orchestration, in a tribal pop shell that recalls Woodkid, Bon Iver or Alt-J…
Bastien Picot is also a vocal coach and gives masterclasses all over the world.
Tony Lavaud is a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Bordeaux (France).
Professional musician for 15 years, his side man career allowed him to hit many countries with various artists (Omar Lye Fook – Charles X – Art Melody – Bastien Picot) and opened for many renown bands (The Cranberries, Scott Henderson, Denis Chambers, Jeff Berlin, Eric Legnini and many more).
In 2018 he releases his first solo album “Notes for Evolution” and learns artist direction and arrangement for pop rock music in Liverpool and for cinema.
He is also a founder of “Tones prod” – a company created in 2019 which specializes in music for movies and video games.
FRANCOIS MARIE MOREAU
Beginning with classical studies, he comes to jazz and modern music (Funk Soul, Afro…) He’s graduated with national Jazz degree.
He played in the most famous places in Paris like Baiser salé, le Caveau de la Huchette, Le divan du monde, la Guinguette pirate and many more. He also has played in great festivals such as Vienne, Marciac, Cognac, St Emilio and in others.
He plays in various funk and soul bands like Monk, Oakland, Akoda and Saxtape, SHOB, Bordeaux big band, Le Violon sur le sable, ONBA.
